Who we are
Community Training Dev is a non-profit organization passionate about empowering individuals to pursue careers in skilled trades. As a trusted contractor of the Georgia Department of Labor, we are dedicated to connecting motivated learners with opportunities to grow, learn, and achieve through mentorship. Our mission is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to a path toward meaningful employment. By fostering connections between experienced trade professionals and those eager to start their careers, we aim to build stronger communities and help create a skilled workforce that benefits us all.
Reach Development is a training and employment organization. We train individuals in skill trades (ie Information Technology, Culinary) and we partner with other organizations to train in CNA, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing & Auto Mechanic. After twelve to fifteen weeks of classroom training, we partner with companies to perform On The Job Training for our students and out of the training, we hope the employer will hire the students full time.
What we do
We facilitate hands-on mentorship programs that give participants real-world experience and industry insights in their chosen trades. By matching individuals with expert mentors, Community Training Dev ensures that each participant gains valuable, practical skills and knowledge that align with the needs of today’s job market. Our programs are designed to provide more than training—they offer a pathway to employment and career advancement. From plumbing to electrical work, we work across a variety of trades to support participants in building the expertise, confidence, and professional networks they need to launch successful, sustainable careers.
What professions do we work with?
Community Training Dev collaborates with experienced, dedicated professionals across a range of skilled trades who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and shaping the future workforce. Our mentors come from diverse backgrounds, including fields like plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, HVAC, welding, and other essential trades. They are industry experts who not only excel in their craft but are also committed to guiding and developing the next generation of skilled workers.
These mentors provide invaluable insights, practical training, and one-on-one support, helping participants gain the real-world skills and confidence needed to succeed. By partnering with professionals who understand the demands and standards of their industries, we ensure that our participants receive relevant, high-quality mentorship that aligns with current job market needs. Together, we’re building a supportive community where aspiring professionals can learn, grow, and ultimately thrive in their careers.
